Unfailing Promise

When he promises, fulfillment is guaranteed no matter how long it takes.
However, unfulfilled promises could destroy our faith and patience.
Time goes by, but there is still no sign of God’s grace and our trouble remains.
We become disappointed, frustrated, anxious and naturally assume that God must have forgotten his words.
When we feel this way, think about Caleb , who kept faith in God’s promise for 45 years and stood firm on it (Joshua14:6-12).
Although he was already 85 years old and the Promised Land still had giants, he believed that God would carry out his commitment because he is a faithful God, and always keeps his words.
When we have doubt in God’s promise, pray for faith and patience.
Don’t let our age, physical condition and difficulties interfere with our faith.
God’s promise never fails.

Last Sabbath, we studied Genesis chapter15 that describes the Covenant between the Lord and Abram.
If we understood what the point God try to tell us in this chapter, we will discover how basic the standard is God ask for the human. There is a famous sentence:”And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.”—Genesis 15;6.
The Bible doesn’t explain how deep Abram’s faith is. Abram believed God just because God pointed the starts in the sky, said to him “Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. “—Genesis 15;5.
Than, Abram believed in the Lord.
We could observe that the children interact with their parents, the children believes what they said easily. Because children’s character is clear、pure and innocent. No wonder Jesus said to the disciples “”Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. “—Mark 10;14
So, we think that Abram trusted God purely, and that let God felt good. All God wants is a little honest faith、a little belief from us, not too mush.
